TRASH x PLAT INSTITUTE

Trash is a publication that brings together more than five years of research and experimentation in the field of new materials and waste transformation, using Paradiso as its main case study.

Conceived as both an editorial and design exercise, the magazine documents processes, material investigations, and creative methodologies developed through years of exploration into circular design and sustainability. Combining research data, visual storytelling, and material analysis, Trash reflects on how waste can become a valuable resource for innovation and creation.

Alongside its research content, the publication includes a Market section presenting functional products and collections developed from recycled and discarded materials, showcasing practical applications that connect experimentation with real-world design solutions.

OBJECTIVE

Creation of an editorial platform documenting long-term research into new materials and waste transformation, exploring how discarded resources can generate new aesthetic, functional, and sustainable design opportunities.
RESULTS

Publication of a research-driven magazine combining material studies, design processes, and market applications, featuring collections and functional products created from waste materials through the Paradiso case study.
