ECHOES x STOIC

This limited edition cup collection transforms an everyday object into a piece of art through material innovation and sound-driven design.

Each cup is crafted from a sustainable bio-ceramic made with recycled oyster shells, giving new life to marine waste. Its form is not random, but generated from real sound recordings of Kowloon Bay, translated into physical patterns through sound wave synthesis and brought to life with 3D ceramic printing.

The result is a series of functional objects where sound, place, and sustainability come together—capturing the living rhythm of the sea in every piece.

OBJECTIVE

Creation of a limited edition collection of bio-ceramic cups that transforms environmental sound data into functional objects, combining sustainable materials, sound design, and digital fabrication to create a new sensory storytelling experience.
RESULTS

Development of a series of 3D-printed bio-ceramic pieces made from recycled oyster shells, where real sound recordings from Kowloon Bay were translated into physical textures and forms, creating collectible objects that merge sustainability, art, and sound.
