Botero Bar Lab x ORÍGENES
Created for the opening of the exhibition of Fernando Botero at Palau Martorell, Botero Bar Lab was an exclusive gastronomic installation developed at Soho House Barcelona where art, sensory design, and culinary experimentation converged into a single experience.

The challenge was to transform the emotional weight and sculptural quality of Botero’s work into an edible experience. Through research into the artist’s forms, color palettes, atmosphere, and cultural references, the gastronomic proposal evolved into a dialogue between lightness and volume, gravity and illusion.

The result was a cocktail presented in jelly format, paired with an ible floating cloud. The dense, vibrant jelly embodied the rounded and tactile nature of Botero’s figures, while the cloud introduced a surreal and ephemeral dimension that contrasted with the physicality of the piece. Together, they created a multisensory composition that invited guests to not only observe art, but to taste and experience its emotional language.
Botero Bar Lab transformed gastronomy into an interpretative medium — a way of translating artistic identity into flavor, texture, and sensation.
